This is one of the most unique and creative CDs I've listened to in a very long time. Bravo!

This CD was given to me for free, and after one listening, I could understand why. Don't be fooled by the instrumentation that sounds like it could be interesting. The compositions are mostly used-up ideas, tiresome colors lacking a process or purpose. My first thought while listening was that this sounded like a disc of works written by student composers from third rate music schools. Then I checked the liner notes and discovered that's exactly what it is. Even the playing is weak - while perhaps a few of the horn bleats were written that way on purpose, there is an exceptional amount of awful playing hiding behind the fact that this music is unknown. This is one of the worst classical CDs I've ever heard.

Bought these in December 2009. They were easy to set up. They work exactly how they are supposed to. My wife loves that I have them. I am actually amazed at the coverage. It is a small room but they do not cut out no matter which way I am facing until I cover the receiver or actually walk out of the room. It is funny I forget that I have them on and then I step thru the threshold and the sound stops, reminding me I have them on.

When I saw this product I thought it was going to save a lot of headaches. It's a practical fix for the occasional problem. I found that if I have it sitting there I won't make the effort to use it. I often look at it and think if I had that cash in my pocket right now would I have bought this thing a second time, probably not. It works very well and is comfortable and all the things it says it is. The reality is when I want use it I probably should be sleeping or reading instead and the light from the TV is equally annoying to the person in the bed next to me. One problem is line of sight. It would be nice if could walk out of the room. I would like to be able to walk to the kitchen or bathroom and still hear but as soon as you get out of the beams reach the static hiss maked you turn it off. TG

The tone on these TV Ears doesn't adjust enough for my type of hearing loss. It has too much bass. Also, they didn't work on one of my TV's (only one audio out connection)without me having to buy an audio cord with a male connector on both ends. I passed them on to friends, though, and they just love them!

I bought these for my 92 year old mother-in-law but tried them out myself first. Unless you hold your head perfectly still, the ear plugs fall out. Bad design, waste of money.

They worked great for about 6 months, suddenly have to sit very close to the transmitter to get decent sound. In that period of time I only used them about 2 dozen times. Have ordered new batteries, hopefully that will fix the problem but they have not arrived yet. The batteries cost $19.95 with another $10 for shipping. If I have to replace the batteries every 6 months then it can get quite expensive. I would not recommend this item to a friend. TV Ears 10341 2.3 System Wireless Headset System (Blue)

After losing a hearing aid, I bought this device to help tide me over until I am ready to spend big bucks for a replacement. I tried it in a small-group meeting of ten people, and I could hear everyone fine. I've been using it in watching t.v.--so as not to blow my wife away with decibels--and I am satisfied with its performance in that regard. I avoided the earpiece pictured with this unit here, since it looks clumsy, and got one with a simple earbud and a headset. Haven't tried the headset, but the earbud is comfortable and works fine. I'd bet that a lot of competing products are simply junk, but I find this one to represent value representative of the cost. At least it's worth the money for me, even though there is no substitute for a good hearing aid except another good hearing aid.

The Pocket Talker arrived on time and in perfect condition. It performs well and it is the quality that I expected. I think it is a bit expensive but there is little out there in the market to help people that are hard of hearing that actually works that is not expensive. I bought this in combination with a Bluetooth transmitter to send to a Bluetooth headset. My mom wanted something that could help her hear that did not look like a hearing aid. She is always wearing her cell phone Bluetooth headset so this worked out well; the Pocket Talker can hang out in her purse. Those products that are sold to boost sound that look like a Bluetooth headset (sonic ear, etc.) do not really work adequately. It is a versatile product that works exactly how you would expect it to from the product documentation,

I was so excited to get this to try listening to nature sounds. Instead all I hear is a buzz. You cant hear anything over the buzzing sound. The instruction manual is impossible to understand. After an hour I figured out how to use the record and playback features. By trial and error, the instructions were translated to english and make no sense. Do not waste your money on this. The naked ear works better.

Despite it looking slick and being pretty well built, this product is garbage. It's supposed to work like an ultra-directional microphone, but you can hear everything around you, especially the sounds closer to you (i.e. your own foot steps, traffic noise) that interfere with those sounds you are aiming at. The "frequency" dial is nothing but a volume control. Totally useless.

The sound is exceptionally louder with this device. Great for listening in the woods or for birds. Recording and magnified sight features are worthless. Fun toy, for child or adult.

I ordered these for my mother, who wears hearing aids but prefers a headset for the tv. The old one she has was worn out (had it over 10 years) and these sounded like they would work, and they do - VERY WELL! So well, I'm thinking of ordering an extra headset for myself (for when she's on the phone or has company in another room). I used the mic attachment rather than the direct sound from the VCR (Yes, I'm still in the 'old days') so I can record and we can watch a different program at the same time. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the fit of the headset for me - I have a big head, I guess, and they are tight - they fit her very comfortably. If I do get an extra headset, I will just turn them upside down. The only DOWN SIDE is she can't hear them in another room. That's not terribly important, just an inconvenience if she decides to go to the kitchen to get water, or something. Otherwise, great product. I did just set them up today, so I'm not yet aware of any problems with the battery life. Will post again if the battery life is not as promised in the instruction book - over 15 hours on a charge.

Talk about bang for your buck or should I say boom cause its base I'm talking about, anyways I digress chords are a little thin I'm afraid I might rip it but other than that these babies are totally worth it.

The sound quality is pretty decent but the iPhone microphone doesn't work at all. Big disappointment. I'm returning these today and trying something else.

Pros: Sound is fine on these for ~40 bucks, definitely no complaints. However with a name like "Atomic" Bass, you really oughtta have a low end freq response better than 20Hz. Still, sound is solid, and I was very pleased with the mic and overall look of the headset. Killer: Construction is weak. Just like some of the other reviewers wrote. Something is wrong with either the plug or the wiring very near it that causes phantom "button pushes" that wreak havoc on my apps/phone calls if the wire in that area wiggles in the slightest. I got these five days ago. I am a little hard on my headsets, as I run and lift with them. But this is ridiculous.

These are just as they are advertised. Nice bass, comfortable to wear, cord is longer then most which is a plus. Use with my iphone.
